Nejatngo.org

The Nejat Society or “Rescue Society” was established on September 7, 1998, by the MOIS to “save victims of Rajavi’s destructive cult.”  Its website (whois) was registered in September 2003.

As with other MOIS attack websites, details on the site’s ownership are not provided.  The Nejatngo domain name is registered through PrivacyProtect, which keeps registration information hidden.

Nejat claims to be an NGO but offers minimal data about itself.  Its website offers no address or phone number.  Nejat distributes a newsletter that lists a post office box (#14145/119 in Tehran) and a fax number (88 96-10 31).

Nejat Society says it “founded by some of the former members of the cult” but provides no names or biographical material.  The organization appears to have no board members, executives, or staff members.

The website posts articles from Iranian government-sponsored news outlets (Press TV, Fars News Agency, Tehran Times, Mehr News Agency) and other MOIS websites (Habilian, Mojahedin Monitor, Mojahedin.ws, Iran-Interlink, etc.).

Nejat provides minimal transparency yet declares that “Honesty and stating the truth include the main mission of Nejat Society.”  It further claims that “The statements and information published by Nejat Society are totally based on undeniable documents and evidences.”

Nothing could be further from the truth.  The MOIS articles posted on Nejat’s website are disinformation, designed to mislead readers.  They are easily identifiable as propaganda because they are all attacks and offer no balance.  Nejat Society states that it “condemns any violent action seriously and denies any contact with the organizations that use violence to achieve their goals.” Not surprisingly, the website fails to mention anything about the Iranian mullah's history of violence and torture.

Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism and uses violence to achieve its goals. The Nejat Society offers no condemnation of the government's brutality, while posting articles from state-run media outlets that promote the mullah's agenda.

Nejat articles are widely posted on other MOIS websites.  Below are some examples:

Irandidban.com

Irandidban.com (whois) or “Iran Watch” was created on November 18, 2002.

The website provides little transparency.  The registrant is Rayaneh Quds Razavi Inc., who may or may not be the sponsor.

Most articles posted on Irandidban are not dated and some are unsourced.

The website manipulates articles written by legitimate news services.  It rewrites or  removes positive PMOI references or statements.  As examples, Irandidban eliminated the following sentences from Reuters’ articles:

‘“Revoking this designation [removing the MEK from the terrorist list] is the first step to rectify the misguided and disastrous policy of appeasing the religious fascism ruling Iran,’ Shahin Gobadi said in an email message, calling the MEK designation “a major obstacle to regime change’ in Iran.”1

Few people appear to visit Irandidban.com.  A counter alongside each article shows the number of visitors to each page.  Most articles show only 10-20 hits.

A majority of the articles posted on Irandidban are bylined by Habilian, Fars News Agency, Iran-Interlink, Tehran Times, and Press TV.

Articles by Irandidban occasionally appear on other attack websites.  Iran-Interlink posted an Irandidban article on February 8, 2013, titled “MEK Efforts to Chain Members in Liberty.”

CultsAndTerror.org

CultsAndTerror.org (whois), created on March 26, 2007, seeks to demonize the PMOI by linking the organization to cults and terrorism.

The website claims it was created by former members of a terrorist group.  Anne Singleton is the website’s registrant and her address in provided on the “contact” page.

The website appears unfinished.  No information is posted in the menu sections of “Individual Stories,” “Cult Issues,” and “Articles on Cults and Terrorism.”

CultsAndTerror alleges that “cult methodology and terror are inextricably linked.”

The website states it was designed as a “starting point for anyone who wishes to find out more about the way terrorists are created.”  It says “Terror as a tool is not a simple act, it arises from complex thinking and highly sophisticated methods of manipulation of its actors.”

While Singleton eagerly points a finger at the PMOI as a “terrorist cult,” she fails to provide any information about the Iranian regime, which is the leading state sponsor of terrorism in the world.1

In its 2010 Country Reports on Terrorism, the U.S. State Department stated:

Iran "remained the most active state sponsor of terrorism in 2010.  Iran's financial, material, and logistic support for terrorist and militant groups throughout the Middle East and Central Asia had a direct impact on international efforts to promote peace, threatened economic stability in the Gulf, and undermined the growth of democracy."

Given Singleton’s definition of terror, Iran’s mullahs are guilty of “complex thinking and highly sophisticated methods of manipulation of its actors.”  This would include the dissemination of disinformation on opponents to the regime such as the PMOI.
